National Immunization Awareness Month

According to the CDC, Covid-19 disrupted not only in-person learning, but also routine childhood wellness checks. Consequently, many children have fallen behind on required vaccinations for school. Check here to see required vaccines your child needs to attend public or private elementary, middle or secondary school, child care centers, nursery schools, family day care or developmental centers in Fairfax County. Immunizations aren't just for kids. Protection from some childhood vaccines can wane over time. Adults may also be at risk for vaccine-preventable disease due to age, occupation, lifestyle, travel, or pre-existing health conditions. Immunizations protect us from dangerous preventable diseases like Chickenpox, Flu, Hepatitis, Measles, Mumps, Meningococcal, Pneumonia, Shingles, Pertussis (whooping cough), Polio and more. Be Stronger2 and protect yourself and those you love from getting these diseases.
